Engineering is the #science and an art, which has shaped our future and made human life more way more wallowing than ever before. #Engineering as a science has branched into various other sub-branches which has allowed engineering professionals to concentrate all their efforts to their particular domain of engineering.

Engineering, in the early days was confined to the core branches like; electrical, civil and mechanical, which are still in existence but have also made way for other branches like information #technology, bio technology, #automation, and #chemical. Here in this article, I am going to talk about the career scope and career path for chemical engineering jobs.

Chemical engineering plays a major role in our daily lives, the fuel that drives the engines, the gas that we use for cooking, the soap that we use and the food that we eat; is the outcome of this branch of engineering. This can truly imply the wide application of the skills and knowledge of these professionals, making them highly sought after in various industries to take chemical engineering jobs that come with diversified set of responsibilities.

The career scope is outspread, you can choose to work as a scientific researcher, field engineer, or occupy a senior management position in a multinational. Not just the different roles that they can take up, but also their interdisciplinary application makes it possible for them to choose from a broad spectrum of job sectors, making the career scope highly outspread and promising.

Chemical engineering jobs are present in various job sectors. One of the highest paying and growth oriented job sectors is; oil & gas, as this industry is essential for each economy, and jobs in this sector are widely available all across the globe.

Food processing, pharma, biotechnology, chemicals, paints, electronic device fabrication, and production; are some other job sectors where these professionals play a vital role to oversee the tasks of production, transformation and research.

Fresh graduate chemical engineers, are absorbed as graduate trainee engineers to master the skills and learn the processes applied in production. After completing your tenure as a graduate trainee engineer, you will move to a supervisory role, where you would be responsible for managing the production processes, finding ways to improve the processes involved and might involve some part of research work.

Your career will further evolve as you keep earning work experience and in the later stages of your career, you might want to go for a senior management level position where the experience you have earned will now bear its fruits.

Not only chemical engineering jobs, as a chemical engineer your skills and education are also applicable in other job sectors like information technology, environment engineering, design and construction.
